Tennis team breakfast a big hit

The Michigan City High School girls tennis team held its annual breakfast fundraiser at Galveston Steakhouse on Saturday, March 4. More than 500 people attended to support the team.

We are very fortunate to have Galveston Steakhouse as our sponsor. Thanks to Larry Fegaras, Anastasia Fegaras and their great kitchen staff. We also appreciate Meijer for donating the milk and orange juice for the event. Thanks to players, parents and managers who worked so hard at the breakfast. And finally, thank you to all our tennis friends who supported the MCHS Girls Tennis Team by having breakfast with us on Saturday.

Our home season starts March 28 with a match against New Prairie and we have five additional home matches between then and May 17. Come watch us play and support your Wolves' girls tennis team!

Student from Iowa seeks help for project

Hello, my name is Christian G. I am a fifth-grader at Harlan Intermediate School in Harlan, Iowa. My class is studying the geography and history of the United States. I am exceited to learn about your state of Indiana. I would really appreciate if you could send me pictures, postcards or information on your beautiful state.

My teacher, Mrs. Newlin, would be very grateful if you could send a car license plate, if possible, for a teacher's project she is working on. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to help me and really look forward to learing about Indiana.

Thank you,

Christian G.
