Thank you for supporting Future Wolves

On behalf of the “Future Wolves” Elementary Sports advisory committee, we would like to extend sincere thanks to all who supported the Sept. 8 “Triviafest” at Krueger Memorial Hall.

This event raised close to $1,800 for Michigan City Area Schools’ elementary athletics program, which is completely self-funded and is made possible thanks to the dedication of volunteer coaches.

Triviafest proceeds will help provide uniform shirts and equipment, awards, and officials for our eight MCAS elementary schools, making it possible for them to field teams for boys and girls in soccer, basketball and track.

Special thanks to Phil Gushrowski (Cachet Cocktails), Jeremy Kienitz (Michigan City Parks Dept.), and Kathy Workman (Elston YMCA) for their assistance in coordinating this event and providing the venue.

Also many thanks to the following sponsors, which donated prizes: Dominos, Dairy Queen, The Burger Bar & Grill, TBerry’s Diner, Memo’s, Wings Etc., La Porte Chrysler, Uptown Ltd., MCHS Athletic Dept., Carlson’s, Galveston Steakhouse, Albano’s, Michigan City Municipal Golf Course, La Porte County YMCA, McGinnis Pub and Mark and Susan Kline.

Finally, we are extremely grateful to Mark and Susan Kline, who donated their time and expertise to host this great event.

Congratulations to the 2017 Triviafest champions, the Educated Guessers, and thank you to all for playing – and supporting our youngest athletes!

Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins, Craig Shaman and Michael Karpinski,

Michigan City Area Schools
