Norma G. Eldridge, age 58, of New Buffalo, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born on July 21, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Norman and Gailya (Haynes) Bell.
She is survived by her mother, Gailya Bell of New Buffalo, Michigan; brothers, Danny (Cheryl) Bell of Trail Creek, Indiana, and Phillip (Sue) Bell of New Buffalo, Michigan; nieces, Angela Papadatos of Cibolo, Texas, Amanda Mashburn of Michigan City, Indiana, Katelynn Bell of Tecumseh, Michigan, and Kim Lucker of Lake Station, Indiana; nephew, Nathan Bell of Raleigh, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Mary Bell of New Buffalo, Michigan; and two very special friends/sisters, Brenda Hicks of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Sheri Edwards of Union Pier, Michigan.
Preceding her in death were her father, Norman Bell, and brother, James Bell.
Burial of ashes will take place in the spring in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Buffalo, Michigan.
A celebration of life service was held at the American Legion Post 169 in New Buffalo, Michigan, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018.
Norma worked for many years for Bob Bowen's roofing company in New Buffalo, and also worked other office jobs throughout her life.
Even though Norma dealt with a debilitating injury when she was in her teens, she did not let her disabilities slow her down. She loved life, was the life of the party and was all around fun to be with. She loved her family, her trike and her cats, Taz and Macy.
