After eight years as an assistant at Valparaiso, Casey McKim has been named head football coach at New Prairie. He will replace Russ Radtke, who resigned to take the top spot at Portage.

ROLLING PRAIRIE — It’s not easy leaving a high school football program like Valparaiso, but when your next stop is another stellar program, it makes it easier.

“I definitely saw an opportunity. I had not planned on leaving at all, but when a job of this quality presents itself, given my aspirations, you have to take a serious look at it,” said Casey McKim, assistant football coach at Valpo who this week was named head coach at New Prairie.
