Officer Michael Petrie and K9 Edo will be rejoining the Michigan City Police Department on April 1 after six weeks of training at Vohn Liche Kennels in Denver, Indiana.

MICHIGAN CITY — Michigan City’s newest police K9 and his handler will be hitting the streets on Wednesday after six weeks of intensive training.

Officer Michael Petrie and K9 Edo will return to the Michigan City Police Department this week after graduating from the Vohn Liche Kennels Dual Purpose Narcotic Detector Dog Handler Course, the department has announced.
