Aquash Gill, 21, of Michigan City was arrested for operating a vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more, an A misdemeanor, after police reportedly found him stumbling around an overturned vehicle in the alleyway of Luck Stop and Barker Avenue.

A woman reported that a man jumped her and battered her in the face in the 3600 block of Windsor Road.

A father and son were reportedly fired from Midwest Wheelcoaters after pulling a knife and threatening to kill another employee for complaining about their habit of shooting sparks in his face with a grinder.

AUG. 10

Richard Edward Palmer, 54, of Michigan City and Thomas A. Sherrod, 55, of Michigan City, were both charged with disorderly conduct, a B misdemeanor, after reportedly getting into a fight in the 600 block of E. Michigan Boulevard.

Roberta L. Kinch, 55, of Rensselaer, Indiana, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct for making unreasonable noise after being told to stop, and public intoxication, both B misdemeanors.

A stolen Nissan Armada recovered by police was reportedly stolen again when the owner, not having the key, refused to have it towed from its location on Maple and Superior streets, preferring to have a locksmith make a new key.

Dwaine Lee Winbush, 56, of Michigan City was arrested on a Level 6 felony charge of residential entry and a B misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief after reportedly breaking a window to get into someone's house in the 300 block of Gardena. The homeowner called police after finding the broken window, and Winbush was reportedly found hiding in the downstairs closet.

Burglary was reported in the 600 block of Thurman Avenue.

Burglary and animal cruelty involving the beating of someone's pet was reported in the 500 block of Walton Avenue.

Burglary was reported in the 200 block of Columbia.

Parnell A. Higgins, 37, of Michigan City was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.

A pizza delivery man reportedly found a license plate lying on the road in the 1300 block of Tennessee Street.
