A woman was reportedly battered by two other women, one with a knife, while she was seated in the rear seat of a parked car in the are of Grace and Walker streets.
Animal Control reported difficulty in getting the owner of a puppy with a broken leg in the 6400 block of Meer Road to take the pet to the vet for a proper examination. The owner said the puppy was checked at a vet in another state, but could not provide documentation or even contact information for the business. The owner claimed the dog had a broken leg before she got it. Animal Control told her she would have to surrender the animal if she could not afford to take it to the vet. The puppy was reportedly limping.
Burglary involving a 17-year-old suspect was reported in the 400 block of Barker Road.
A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, who treats their home like a battle bunker, stole her deceases mother's jewelry in the 500 block of E. 9th St.
Four small caliber revolvers, rusted and in bad shape, were turned into the police department by a homeowner who no longer wanted them at 9:35 a.m.
A Nike duffel bag containing miscellaneous items was found abandoned by the gas pumps at Family Express, 5822 S. Franklin Street.
Joshua Michael Payne was arrested on an active body attachment warrant in the 5900 block of N. Hitchcock Street.

Jessica Carin Haynes, 35, of Michigan City was arrested for a false identity statement, an A misdemeanor, and driving while suspended, also an A misdemeanor.
A pickup truck was reportedly stolen in the 100 block of Woodside Drive.
