FRIDAY

Peter N. Devine, 40, of Albion, Indiana, was preliminarily charged with driving while suspended, an A misdemeanor, at 2:55 a.m.

THURSDAY

Battery causing minor injury was reported in the 4000 block of Franklin Street at 9:17 p.m.

Police arrested a 15-year-old student for allegedly battering his teacher, causing possible internal injuries, at Michigan City High School at 12:35 p.m.

Police requested a warrant in regard to a criminal mischief case in the 1000 block of Manhattan.

The driver's side door window of a 2010 Ford Fusion was reportedly shattered in a case of criminal mischief in the 700 block of Franklin Street at 9:10 p.m. The cost of damage was estimated at $200.

A spare key was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 500 block of E. 8th Street.

Ryan J. Brasseur, 18, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with possession of marijuana, a B misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, a C misdemeanor, at 11:10 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

Police are investigating a case of battery allegedly perpetrated by a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl against a 16-year-old girl in the 1200 block of Michigan Boulevard.

TUESDAY

Leon James Burgess, 31, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with possession of paraphernalia, a C misdemeanor.

Danielle Gail Phillips, 44, of Michigan City was arrested on a warrant for theft, a Level 6 felony.

Tyler D. Roark, 26, of La Porte was arrested on active warrants for possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor, and possession of cocaine or narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, after police pulled him over for an alleged seatbelt violation.

MONDAY

A 57-year-old reported being bit by an animal in the 100 block of Dunlap.

Theft was reported at Sunglass Hut at Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets at 8:05 p.m.

Danielle Leigh Stevens, 30, of Michigan City was arrested on a warrant for battery at 3:05 p.m.
