A 17-year-old boy was arrested for driving without ever receiving a license, a C misdemeanor, after allegedly trying to lose a police officer by making sharp turns. He was also charged with domestic battery, an A misdemeanor, after allegedly hitting the brakes to beat his female passenger in the head during the pursuit.

Two men claiming to be yard cleaners reportedly stole jewelry and ransaked a house in the 100 block of Rosedale Avenue.

Shantel Lakeyia Love, 33, of Hammond was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of theft after allegedly shoplifting about $58 worth of items from Walmart.

A 14-year-old runaway was reported in the 200 block of Springland Avenue.

The family members of a suspected murderer currently on trial in La Porte reported that a family friend of the victim threatened them with a gun on Michigan Boulevard in Michigan City.

Adam W. Lumpp, 35, of La Porte was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The license plate of a 2009 Pontiac G8 was reportedly stolen while the vehicle was parked at Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets.

Seqouyah Dakota Lawson, 23, of Michigan City was arrested on a C misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

Louvenia Thorn, 25, of Michigan City was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.

The driver's side window of a Hyundai Sonata was reportedly broken and a wallet and cell phone stolen from inside in the 5100 block of Franklin Street.

A laptop was reportedly stolen from a home in the 1200 block of W. 8th Street. The victim believed the computer was stolen by a friend who had been sleeping on her couch.

Keagan M. Drzewiecki, 19, of Trail Creek was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.
