A father reported his daughter being battered by two classmates during an alternative schooling class.

A purse was found at 6th Street and Michigan Boulevard at 9 a.m.

Police have requested warrants for Level 6 felony strangulation and A misdemeanor battery against a man who allegedly attacked the mother of his child in the 1100 block of Spring.

Tyler Anthony Strickhorn, 22, of Trail Creek was arrested on charges of Level 5 felony confinement, Level 6 felony resisting law enforcement and C misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

A woman reported that a man, whose last name she didn't know, jumped her in her bedroom in the 200 block of Pine Tree Court, punching her in the head and bending her finger back, before fleeing.

Police responded to an incident of a man pushing his girlfriend out of his apartment in the 3200 block of Salem Court because she was intoxicated and wouldn't leave. The girlfriend asked police to arrest him because he put his hands on her. No arrests were made.

Frank Joseph Urbanski, 41, of Michigan City was arrested on a body attachment warrant in the 1600 block of Manhattan Street.

A woman reportedly found a bag containing a white powdery substance in her husband's sock after he was admitted to the hospital.

Alanna Keilei Stewart, 18, was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of theft after allegedly stealing a wallet valued at $49.75 at Calvin Klein.

Police responded to an attempted burglary call in the 2300 block of York Street, finding a damaged window. The owner said she chased the suspect out of her backyard earlier.

Jalen Michael Blair, 18, and Tyrese Jamar Lewis, 19, both of Michigan City, were arrested for disorderly conduct, a B misdemeanor, for reportedly getting into a fight in the Michigan City High School parking lot. The responding officer was reportedly unable to break them up by hand, and had to discharge his Taser on one of the participants in order to separate them.

A 16-year-old was arrested for shoplifting 3 pairs of women's underwear with a total value of $38, and a Calvin Klein women's wallet valued at $49.75 at the Calvin Klein store in Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets.
