TUESDAY

Michael Blair, 53, of Michigan City was arrested on a Level 5 felony charge of dealing marijuana after police reportedly found 56.3 grams of marijuana in  29 individually wrapped bags in a backpack believed to belong to him.

A bike was found in the front yard of a home in the 400 block of Derby Street.

A woman reported getting hit in the eye by her ex-boyfriend in the 800 block of Springland Avenue.

MONDAY

A woman reported that at least $3,000 was stolen from her purse.

Arson was reported in the 2200 block of Normandy Drive.

A tire on a Honda Civic was slashed in the 1300 block of Wabash.

SUNDAY

Police picked up a male German shepherd at 4 p.m. from Big R at 4301 Franklin Street.

SATURDAY

Amanda Lynn Manley, 31, of Michigan City was arrested for theft, an A misdemeanor, after reportedly stealing $48.42 worth of items at the Franklin Street Walmart.

A 15-year-old and 16-year-old were arrested for disorderly conduct, a B misdemeanor, after reportedly getting into a fight in the 1200 block of E. Michigan Blvd.

Roger Thomas Simmons, 54, of Michigan City was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .15 or more, a C misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .08 or more, and a C misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

A Specialized Hot Track 20-inch pink and black bicycle was reported stolen in the 4200 block of Cleveland.

A NIPSCO pole was almost broken in two after a car reportedly crashed into it in the 100 block of Columbia Street.

OCT. 12

Office Max reported the theft of a display laptop while employees were fixing a customer's computer. The customer in question is the suspected thief.

OCT. 5

A phone was recovered in the 1100 block of Hoyt Street.
