Walmart reported the theft of makeup at 3:42 p.m.

A woman reported the theft of a cell phone and a child's blanket while she was in the restroom at Walmart.

A man reported that a semi-truck driver speeding down U.S. 20 by Captain Ed's threw a bottle at his vehicle, damaging it. When police arrived, they found the victim walking down the highway with the bottle, which he claimed to have retrieved after the semi driver threw it at him. It turned out to be plastic, and no damage was found on his car. But he did provide a license number purportedly from the semi.

Kenya L. Harrison, 39, of Michigan City was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended.

The occupants of a vehicle in the 1300 block of Ohio Street reportedly stopped and fired three shots from a gun, shattering the window of a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am at around 10 p.m. There was also a bullet hole in the left front door near the door handle.

A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend approached her in Walmart and threatened her. 

Menards reported the theft of several items, including $50 worth of headphone attachments, by a man who dropped his wallet (along with his ID) during a pursuit in the store at 6:20 p.m.

NOV. 11

Amanda R. Linnenburger, 39, of Michigan City was arrested on an A misdemeanor charge of theft after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart.

Invastion of Privacy was reported in the 100 block of Dewey.

A hit and run resulted in a damaged mail box in the 100 block of Shady Lane.

NOV. 11

A person reported being followed by a silver Monte Carlo whose occupant got out and pointed a gun at him because he, the victim, drove around the suspect when the suspect was parked at a stop sign for more than 5 minutes. The suspect then drove off.

NOV. 10

Officers retrieved a male collie mix without a microchip or tags and dropped him off at the city kennel.

Burglary was reported in the 200 block of May Avenue.

Reuben C. Carder, 48, of Michigan City was arrested on an active warrant from Elkhart County for failing to register as a sex offender.

A man reportedly punched a woman in the face after acting strange with her dog in the 300 block of E. U.S. 20. He was eventually taken to Franciscan Health Michigan City for an emergency detention and psych evaluation.

Police broke up a domestic battery situation that involved a Taser and shattered coffee table in the 3400 block of Salem Court at around 4 p.m.

Christy's Motel reported the theft of a refrigerator and microwave from one of their rooms.

The license plate of a 2003 Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen in the 700 block of Franklin Street.

Paul Michael Delrio, 40, of La Porte was arrested on a C midemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

A juvenile reportedly stole money from a lock box belonging to his mother, then left home without permission in the 600 block of White Oak.

NOV. 9

North Face reported the theft of a coat by a middle aged man.

Domestic battery was reported in the 100 block of Silver Lake Avenue at 4:15 p.m.

Meijer reported the theft of a $12 Halloween-themed shirt.

A woman reportedly stolen more than $90 worth of items at Menards.

Grant M. Phillips, 33, was arrested on a B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
