8:30 a.m. — Memorial Day Service; Franklin Street Bridge, Michigan City.

10 a.m. — Michigan City Memorial Day Parade; starts at Pytynia Parkway near Ames Field, and will march north on Franklin Street, then east on Decatur Street to wrap up at Greenwood Cemetery.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Military Member Day at the Zoo; Washington Park Zoo, 115 Lake Shore Dr. (free for active duty, retired military, DOD civilians and reserve/guard members with proper identification)

2 p.m. — "Lake Michigan Swan" by the Metamorphis Traveling Theatre; Michigan City Senior Center; 2 on the Lake, Michigan City.

7 p.m. — Smoke & Mirrors; Dunes Summer Theatre, 288 Shady Oak Dr. ($18-20)

9 to 11 a.m. — Kids Fishing Fun Day; Luhr County Park, 3178 S 150 W, La Porte (free hotdogs, kids must be accompanied by an adult)

4 to 10 p.m. — Jammin with Save the Dunes; Guy Foreman Amphitheater in Washington Park, 115 Lake Shore Dr. ($20-25) ($7 for event parking)
