AP Scholars RewardedTwenty-six Michigan City High School juniors and seniors were rewarded with checks from the University of Notre Dame this week, receiving $100 for each Advanced Placement Math, English, and Science tests they passed with a score of 3 or higher last spring. An additional 20 MCHS graduates also received the checks, incentives provided by Notre Dame through its AP TIP-IN (AP Teacher Investment Program for Indiana) program, which also supports MCHS with teacher training, seminars for students, and other resources. MCHS was named AP TIP-IN School of the Year last year in recognition of its recent successes in Advanced Placement. Students earning checks were Logan Dwornik, Erica Galindo, Michael Lakin, Connor Baker, Xavier Bennett, Dasani Cleveland, Evan Ewy, Caden Glenn, Peter Gondeck, Nick Gushrowski, Alexandria Hahn, Joshua Hensell, Elliot Jasicki, Makayla Johnson, Olivia Leary, Anna-Liese Lenard, Savannah Lowe, Amanda Ochoa, Jedediah Ottersen, Kaitlyn Pollock, Sara Poulin, Julianna Schooley, Omar Serrano, Megan Steinheiser, Michael Thomas and Zoie Zaknoun.
