A BMW license plate was reported stolen in the 100 block of Belmont Court at 4 a.m.

Police arrested a 44-year-old Michigan City man on a C misdemeanor charge of possession of paraphernalia after pulling him over at 1:20 a.m. for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone by Blue Chip Casino and finding a marijuana pipe and a bag of suspected marijuana in his vehicle.


Al's Supermarket reported that a 17-year-old ripped the label off a bottle of NyQuil, stuffed the bottle down his pants and failed to pay for it when he attempted to exit the store. He was later issued a trespass warning by police and returned to his home.

Texas Corral reported a case of "dine and dash" where a couple and their two children racked up a tab of $94.97, but left only a gift card with $1.66 on it before they left. The incident happened around 10:45 p.m.

A 53-year-old Michigan City man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with an ACE of .15 or more, an A misdemeanor, after police stopped him following reports of his vehicle swerving all over the roadways by Brown Mackie College.

Police arrested a 37-year-old Michigan City man on an outstanding body attachment warrant after catching him driving down the wrong way of a one-way street.

Battery and strangulation charges are being sought against a 35-year-old man for attacking his 26-year-old girlfriend in the 100 block of E. 10th Street.


Michigan City Liquors reported the theft of a bottle of Seagram's Gin (valued at $10.99), and a 1.75 liter bottle of Grey Goose Vodka (valued at $53.99) at 9:39 p.m.
