TUESDAY

Shots were reportedly fired in the 900 block of E. Michigan Boulevard at 12:01 a.m. According to witnesses, the handgun used had an orange tip.

Theft was reported in the 200 block of W. 11th Street at 3:46 a.m. 

MONDAY

Harassment was reported in the 1200 block of Spring at 5:18 p.m.

Battery was reported in the 400 block of Hayes Avenue at 5:29 p.m.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on a warrant on E. 9th Street at 9:12 p.m.

Big R reported the theft of tools at 12:32 p.m.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle in the 2100 block of Buffalo.

Dollar General reported a case of theft in the 2800 block of E. U.S. 12 at 2:49 p.m.

SUNDAY

A hit and run crash was reported in the 200 block of S. Woodland Avenue.

Theft was reported in the 5700 block of Franklin Street at 12:34 p.m.

Cathryn Elisabeth Cooney, 24, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor.

Zachary Steven Murphy, 32, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with domestic battery, a Level 6 felony, and invasion of privacy, an A misdemeanor.

Theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 5200 block of Franklin Street.

Christopher C. Yagac, 33, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged for operating a motor vehicle without a license, a C misdemeanor.

Ryan Jeffrey Faatuai, 34, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with possession of paraphernalia.

Ashley Jean Schofield, 29, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with the unlawful possession of a syringe, a Level 6 felony, possession of a controlled substance, a Level 6 felony, possession of a controlled substance, an A misdemeanor, and possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor.

SATURDAY

Domestic battery was reported in the 100 block of Sanborn at 8:17 a.m.

A case of counterfeiting was reported in the 8400 block of W. Pahs Road.

Shots were reportedly fired in the 700 block of Emma at 2:39 a.m.

Ryan Jeffrey Faatuai, 34, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with theft, an A misdemeanor.

Deanbra Lamont Martin, 29, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license, a C misdemeanor.

Sharon Denise Black, 49, was preliminarily charged with residential entry, a Level 6 felony, resisting law enforcement, an A misdemeanor, possession of paraphernalia, an A misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, a B misdemeanor. 

FRIDAY

Theft from the front of a residence was reported in the 500 block of S. Carroll Avenue.

A hit and run crash was reported at Swingbelly's at 7:43 p.m. 

The Michigan City Sanitary District reported a case of damage in the 1100 block of E. 8th Street at 1:07 p.m.

Walmart reported a case of theft at 5:01 p.m.

Kenneth L. Armstrong, 37, of Merrillville was preliminarily charged with operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license.

Antonio S. Coleman, 30, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with driving while suspended, an A misdemeanor.

Brian Wayne Aasand, 30, of North Judson was preliminarily charged with theft, an A misdemeanor, after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart.

Kaine Scott Kniola, 22, of Michigan City was preliminarily charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, a Level 6 felony.
