The photography of Joel Brussell

MICHIGAN CITY — On Sunday at noon at The Nest, 803 Franklin St., Joel Brussell will present his exhibit, “The Somewhere Else of Being Here."

"I'm on the visual prowl for evidence of other worlds here in the familiar of my natural 'hoodl,'" Brussell said about his work. "... As a rule, I see intentions as an accident at best. I let the light of the sky and the craft of the horizon do much of the work."

Refreshments served.

Violins & Vino

MICHIGAN CITY — On July 19 at 7 p.m., the Michigan City Chamber Music Festival will present Violins & Vino.

The event will feature Grammy award nominated musicians from the MCCMF in an informal program featuring music from the classical era, Broadway, the rock era and wine. Musicians will present an informal demonstration of what makes Chamber music.

The concert is free of charge, and there will be a cash bar.
