Learn about soul and body at First Church

MICHIGAN CITY — You, your family and friends are all welcome to attend The First Church of Christ, Scientist Sunday Church and Sunday School Services held at 10 a.m. Nov. 24. The Church is located at 510 East Coolspring Ave., Michigan City.

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (III John 1:2) is the Golden Text for this Sunday's Bible Lesson-Sermon entitled “Soul and Body.”

Come and learn how a better understanding of God, Christ Jesus and the study of Christian Science is able to help heal you of your problems. Hymns of praise, the Bible lesson, the Lord's Prayer, a vocal solo and other activity will be presented.

Testimonies of healing are also given at the public Wednesday Evening Meeting held at 7:30 p.m.

As Christian Healing is one of the main points of Christian Science, documented reports of them are available at no cost to anyone who requests them.

Thanksgiving Day service at First Church

MICHIGAN CITY — You, your family and friends are invited to attend the Special Thanksgiving Day Service held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, at First Church of Christ, Scientist in Michigan City.

The Thanksgiving Bible Lesson, the Presidential Thanksgiving Proclamation, hymns and expressions of gratitude for God and all He has provided for us that are appropriate for the occasion will be shared by the congregation. No collection will be taken.

Christian Science is a Bible based religion that emphasizes the Divine Spirituality of God, His Son the Messiah, Christ Jesus, and Christian healing work and its’ relevance to daily life.

Free Thanksgiving dinner

MICHIGAN CITY — Revival Center Church of God in Christ, 938 W. 8th St., Michigan City, will host their annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited.
