See Michigan City Moves at Lubeznik

Michigan City Moves will perform starting at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Lubeznik Center.

MICHIGAN CITY — During May's First Friday, witness an innovative dance by Michigan City Moves, a new performance collective dedicated to promoting and sharing experimental music, dance and film in Northwest Indiana.

The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. (with the dance starting at 6) this Friday at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts.

This performance, titled "Part 2: Disruption," is the second in a series of four highlighting nature and architecture from the Indiana Dunes. It's influenced by the Lubeznik Center's "Nature vs Everything" exhibit as well as their architecture, and has been designed to "inhabit and activate the exhibition."

Visitors are also invited to explore the exhibits "Nature vs Everything" and "Material Culture" at the center. Enjoy light refreshments and a cash bar. Admission is free.

This event is sponsored by 95.1 FM/AM 1420 WIMS and 102.5 FM/AM 1060 WHFB

The Lubeznik Center for the Arts is located at 101 W. 2nd St. in Michigan City. For more information, go to, email, or call 219-874-4900.
