La PORTE — After the 12 days of Christmas comes Epiphany, the season that recalls the visitation of the Three Wise Men to the baby Jesus.
In 2019, the women of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in La Porte will host with their Epiphany Tea for the 128th year.
The tea will be Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. in the church parish house, 706 Harrison St. It features tea, coffee, tiny sandwiches, nuts, mints and the traditional Epiphany cake, baked this year by Kent Cummings.
There will be a reading about Epiphany and a poem about the trinkets hidden in the cake. The public is invited to attend. The parish house is handicap accessible and there is no charge for the event.
