MICHIGAN CITY —Think you have what it takes to become the next Hitchcock, Scorsese or Spielberg? Well, the fifth annual Michigan City Video Fest is now accepting submissions.

The festival will be held the first weekend of October in Michigan City. Exact dates and venues will be announced later.

As in the past, priority will be given to regional video makers and to local subject matter, although the top concern remains to present the highest quality material possible.

Tentative schedule:

• First Friday Casual, View a Few in The Nest, 803 Franklin St, 7 p.m. Friday Oct 4.

• Short videos - Longer Form Videos, Michigan City Public Library, 2 p.m. Saturday Oct 5.

• Best of the Fest, Michigan City Public Library, 2 p.m. Sunday Oct 6. The best of past years’ videos.

All genre will be considered including, but not limited to, animations, documentaries, commercials and trailers. The preference is for videos shorter than 10 minutes. Invitations may be extended for longer form videos.
