Exchange Club

MICHIGAN CITY — The Michigan City Exchange Club met on July 30 at the DAV, Michigan City.   

The Exchange Club met Tuesday evening for an evening of brotherhood and a prime rib dinner. Besides a bit of club business the general discussion was about the upcoming cash raffle.

The raffle party will be held on Aug. 17 at the St. Joe Club; 2001 Franklin Street. The fun starts at noon and there will be bands, drinks and food available. One ticket admits one person to the party.

This cash raffle is three raffles in one: 1st prize is $7,500, 2nd prize is $2,500 and 3rd prize is $1,000. Ticket holders need not be present to win these fabulous prizes. There will also be a ticket dawn every hour from 1 to 6 p.m. for a $100 prize; ticket holder must be present to win these $100 prizes.

Tickets are available from Exchange Club Members and will be sold at the party while supplies last. Each ticket is $20 or 3 for $50 or 7 for $100.00.

The next meeting of Exchange Aug. 6. The meeting starts at 12 p.m. and doors open at 11:30 a.m. The program will host Michigan City High School’s new principal.



MICHIGAN CITY — The Exchangettes Club of Michigan City held their monthly meeting on July 16, 2019. Since there was no speaker the club discussed upcoming fund raising events. MARK YOUR CALENDARS...the annual Exchangettes Garage Sale will be held August 10 at 305 Garrettson St, Michigan City. Items will not be priced but a donation is appreciated. ALSO...the annual Homemade Auction and bake sale will be held at the September 17 meeting. Guests are invited. Butter Braid orders need to be in by the September meeting so that they can be available at the October meeting.

Darlene Baker was installed as President. 50/50 winner was Gretchen Demko and the door award went to Melinda Nagle.

The next meeting of the Exchangettes Club is set for August 20, 2019 at 6:30 PM at the Elks Club in Michigan City. New members are always welcome.
