MICHIGAN CITY — New Hope MBC located on 730 w. 6th Street, Michigan City, is having All Ministry Day on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend.

 

Sock hop

MICHIGAN CITY — Two local organizations, St. Luke United Lutheran Church and Canterbury Theatre Guild, are hosting a sock hop dance on Nov. 3.

The event will be held at St. Luke United Lutheran Church, 2000 East Coolspring Avenue, Michigan City, from 7 to 10 p.m. The band Past Time will provide the music.

A minimum donation of $10 per person will be collected at the door. A $2 discount will be given for those dressed in the style of the 1950's. Food, beer and wine will also be available.

 

BBQ

La PORTE — New Community AME Church, 102 Ludlow St., La Porte, will host a BBQ from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10. Rib tips dinner includes rib tips, spaghetti and cole slaw. $10 - pre-sale only. For more information, call 325-8121.

 

Bethany anniversary

MICHIGAN CITY — Bethany Bible Baptist Church, 310 E. 5th St., Michigan City, will be celebrating their 45th church anniversary Nov. 11 at 4 p.m. The theme of the event is "The Church Ready," with 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (cf 17) the theme text. All are invited.

 

Men's Day & Women's Day program

MICHIGAN CITY — Dr. Stanley Mason and the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Family, 123 Helen St., Michigan City, invite you to join them for their annual Men's & Women's Day program on Oct. 28. Their Men's Day speaker will be their very own Deacon Reginald Evans during the 10 a.m. morning service. For their afternoon service at 3:30 p.m., the Women's Day speaker will be Pastor Felicia Blakely of High Praise Ministries of Michigan City.

First Church services

MICHIGAN CITY — You, your family and friends are all welcome to attend The First Church of Christ, Scientist Sunday Church and Sunday School services held at 10 a.m. Sunday. The Church is located at 510 East Coolspring Ave., Michigan City.

Come and learn how a better understanding of God, Christ Jesus and the study of Christian Science is able to help heal you of your problems. Hymns of Praise, the Bible Lesson, The Lord's Prayer, a Vocal Solo and other activity will be presented.

Testimonies of Healing are also given at the public Wednesday Evening Meeting held at 7:30 p.m.

As Christian Healing is one of the main points of Christian Science, documented reports of them are available at no cost to anyone who requests them.

Road to Life services

MICHIGAN CITY — Life is happening at Road to Life Church. Join the church this Sunday as they continue their October series "The Ghost Writer." Have kids? Bring them along to experience KidTown! Kids ages 0-4th grade will have a blast in KidTown through high energy worship, teaching, games and more!
