Sudeith to perform during pipe organ series

Mark Sudeith will perform during the Roosevelt pipe organ concert series on Wednesday.

MICHIGAN CITY — The Roosevelt pipe organ series continues continues this Wednesday with Mark Sudeith.

The program is held at Christ Church, 531 Washington St., Michigan City. Seating is at noon, music to start at 12:15 p.m. and ends at 1 p.m.

Sudeith is known as a pianist and organist for his many performances in the Chicago area. He recently performed as piano soloist with the Northwest Chicago Symphony Orchestra and also performed at the national convention of the Organ Historical Society. He holds the Master of Music in organ performance from the University of Minnesota and the Doctor of Music in piano performance from Indiana University. Sudeith is on the faculty of Chicago State University, where he has taught since 1984 and is currently an interim associate provost.

The Roosevelt series is in its 18th season. The former First Congregational Church of Michigan City is responsible for the organization and production of the series, in particular, Ann and George Dobie.
