Wailing Women's Conference set
MICHIGAN CITY — Revival Center Church of God in Christ will present the annual Wailing Women's Conference, themed "Bring Back the Fire" Leviticus 6:12-13, from Friday, Aug. 30, through Sunday, Sept. 1. The Marriage & Singles Seminar with Pastor Edward and Yalonda Sims of Gary, and Mother Katie Stone of Michigan City, will be held 7 p.m. Aug. 30. Evangelist Lucy Evans of Waterloo, Iowa, will speak at noon, Aug. 31. Prophetess Margaret Swafford of Elkhart will speak 11 a.m. Sept. 1. 'Mind' sermon to be held at First Church
MICHIGAN CITY — You, your family and friends are all welcome to attend The First Church of Christ, Scientist Sunday Church and Sunday School Services held at 10 a.m. Aug. 25. The Church is located at 510 East Coolspring Ave., Michigan City.
“...all the children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” (Isaiah 54:13) is the Golden Text for this Sunday's Bible Lesson-Sermon entitled “Mind.”
Hymns of Praise, the Bible Lesson, The Lord's Prayer, a Vocal Solo and other activity will be presented.
Testimonies of Healing are also given at the public Wednesday Evening Meeting held at 7:30 p.m.
As Christian Healing is one of the main points of Christian Science, documented reports of them are available at no cost to anyone who requests them.

Aglow meeting to be held in Chesterton
La PORTE — Duneland Aglow Lighthouse in Chesterton extends a public invitation to their meeting on Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. They meet at the Baugher Center, (formerly The Library Service Center), at 100 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton. Light refreshments are served at 10:30 a.m., with the meeting starting at 11 a.m. Admission is free with an offering for expenses. Aglow is an international Christian outreach organization with a presence in 170 nations. Each month women and men are invited to hear a guest speaker with the message that God’s presence, power and love is still real for each person today. Worship and an invitation for personal prayer are two essential parts for each meeting. The focus of the Duneland Aglow Lighthouse is to experience the presence of the Lord during the meeting.
This month members welcome Loribeth Grunder from Portage. Loribeth is a Christian that believes God makes this whole life of hers possible and every blessing has come from him. Loribeth has become a fierce advocate for her son, Christian, who was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. She believes that you must be the change in order to change the things of this world along with God directing you.
