La PORTE — Audience members having been calling it, “The best show I’ve seen at Little Theatre!” “So funny- I’ll be back!” “So entertaining!”
It's "12 Incompetent Jurors," now playing at the La Porte Little Theatre Club.
According to organizers, the audiences can’t stop laughing and one man even snorted! The crazy 12 light up the stage with their uniques personalities and facial expressions. And audiences are expressing their love for the zanny parody of "12 Angry Men," which includes a La Porte County magistrate among the cast. Directed by Tony Thomas and Jim Snyder, this show is not to be missed. There is one more weekend of performances to see.
When a man is accused of abducting a half dozen cats, it’s a simple open-and-shut case, even for a jury that’s filled with oddballs such as a dim-witted PR lady played by Katy Gartland, a bickering couple played by John Watterson and Patty Nocek, and a cracker-crunching oddball played by Robert Richter. After all, every scrap of evidence indicts the accused. And yet, Juror No. 8, a wannabe lawyer played by Trent Kaercher, believes that the “Cat Burglar” is innocent. Will he be able to sway the other jury members? Or will they side with Juror No. 3 played by Greta Friedman, the only sane man in the room? Other jurors are Shania Povlock, Rachel Keehn, Bobbi Lauritsen, Dave Mikolajczyk, Robyn Jackson and Foreman Jen Conrad.
Showtimes are this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday/Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.
The historic Little Theatre is located at 218 A St. Tickets (adults $15 and students $12) are available online at www.laportelittletheatreclub.com.
