DVDs at the Library

New DVDs arrive regularly at the library. New titles available include: “Boy Erased,” “Hunter Killer,” “The Wife” and “Widows.”

Youth Services

Register for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, a free program designed to promote language and a love of reading in children. Your child will receive a special surprise (choice of an age-appropriate book or CD) for each 100 books that are read to them (or that they read on their own). For children ages birth through entering kindergarten.

From disappearances, spooky occurrences, and possibly people from the future, Hugo award-winning author Brian K. Vaughn presents a nostalgic comic on an epic scale. For ages 13-18. 5:30 p.m. Needle Art League – The Needle Arts League of Michigan City promotes all forms of needle arts. Membership is open to anyone interested in needle arts such as crochet, needlepoint, cross stitch, crewel, tatting and other hand stitching. All skill levels and ages are welcome. 12:30 p.m. Gentle Flow Yoga – Certified yoga instructor Lauralee Sikorski, who has taught over 5,000 hours of classes, will lead a free gentle flow yoga with emphasis on deep breathing and releasing stress. Bring your own mat, wear comfortable attire and come on an empty stomach.
