Indiana State Prison promotes Joseph Schneider to unit team manager

MICHIGAN CITY — Warden Ron Neal has announced the appointment of Joseph Schneider to the position of Unit Manager at the Indiana State Prison. The promotion went into effective June 2.

Schneider started with the Indiana Department of Correction March 26, 2007, as a correctional officer and was promoted to correctional case manager. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Indiana University South Bend. He has completed the Indiana Department of Correction Supervisory Training.

“Joe has been a dedicated and hardworking employee for the Indiana State Prison for the past 12 years," Neal said. "He has shown that he is competent, trustworthy and gets the job done in a timely and professional manner. Mr. Schneider gets along with everyone and a team player – I’m confident that he will do well in his new role as a unit team manager.”
