La PORTE – La Porte Hospital will host Senior Day at the Fair this year, with a variety of activities and entertainment during the 173rd annual La Porte County Fair. Programs are presented by HealthPorte – La Porte Hospital’s free, membership-based program for individuals ages 50 and older who are interested in pursuing an active lifestyle, learning about health and wellness, and meeting others.

Senior Day at the Fair will begin at noon Thursday in the Entertainment Tent at the La Porte County Fair. All events are free and people of all ages are welcome. Standard fair admission rates apply.

From noon to 2 p.m. a variety of vendors will provide free health information and giveaways, and La Porte Hospital’s Wellness Outreach staff will offer free blood pressure and diabetes screenings, thanks to support from the Healthcare Foundation of La Porte. The Fair will provide musical entertainment during this time.

Participants can enjoy free Bingo from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Entertainment tent as well.

HealthPorte representatives will be on hand to provide free sign-ups for this growing program in La Porte County.

Later in the week, La Porte Hospital will be supporting the community’s 4-H members by participating in the La Porte County 4-H Livestock Auction. Come by to say hello!
