Scott Strandberg and Kelly Bassett

Kelley Bassett and Scott Strandberg were married June 14, 2014 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Michigan City by the Rev. Kevin Huber.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Thomas Bassett.

The bride, daughter of La Porte residents Thomas and Lorna Bassett, is a critical care nurse at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She is a 2000 graduate of La Porte High School and a 2004 graduate of Indiana University.

The groom, the son of Daniel and Geri Strandberg of Sun Tan Valley, Arizona, is a doctor of physical therapy at Saxony Hospital in Fishers, Indiana. He is a 2000 graduate of Munster High School, 2004 graduate of Indiana University and 2007 graduate of the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis doctorate program.

The matron of honor was Monica Kester Sandborn of Indianapolis. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Hellenga Waninger of Charleston, South Carolina; Monica Rusboldt of Chicago; Gabrielle Ginther of La Porte; Arielle Smith of La Porte; and Morgan Brashear of Cincinnati.

The flower girl was Kristin McCoy of Chesterton. The program attendants were Max Bassett of La Porte and Katelyn McCoy of Chesterton.

The best man was Kevin Sandborn of Indianapolis. Groomsmen were Kyle Strandberg of Sun Tan Valley, Arizona; Sean Quinn of St. John, Indiana; Tim Macak of Munster; Brent Bassett of Trail Creek; and Jeff Bassett of La Porte.

Ushers were Chad Ginther of La Porte and Chris Wey of Avon, Indiana.

The reception was held at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton. Music was provided by 27 Entertainment.

The couple, who honeymooned on the island of Grenada, resides in Indianapolis.
