Mary Ellen Kolodiej and Michael Moehlenhof

Mary Ellen Kolodiej and Michael Moehlenhof were married Oct. 21, 2017, at Saint John Cantius Catholic Church, in Chicago.

The bride is the daughter of Alan and Barbara Kolodiej, of Michigan City, and was given in marriage by her father. She is a 2000 graduate of Saint Stanislaus Kostka grade school, in Michigan City; a 2004 graduate of Marquette Catholic High School, in Michigan City; a 2010 graduate of Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics; a 2015 graduate of Rosalind Franklin University, in Chicago, with a Masters in Clinical Nutrition. She works as a Solid Organ Transplant Dietitian at University of Chicago Hospital, in Chicago.

The groom is the son of James (deceased) and Mary Jo Moehlenhof, of Peoria, Illinois. He is a 2000 graduate of Holy Family Catholic Middle School, in Peoria; a 2004 graduate of Peoria Notre Dame Catholic High School, in Peoria; a 2008 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, of Steubenville, Ohio, with a B.S. degree in Accountancy; a 2009 graduate of Saint Ambrose University, in Davenport, Iowa, with a Masters in Accountancy; a 2010 graduate of Saint Ambrose University, in Davenport, Iowa, with a Masters in Business Administration. He works as a Senior Cost Analyst at Focal Point LLC, in Chicago.

Maid of Honor was Angela Kolodiej, of Michigan City. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Kolodiej, of Michigan City; Maria Szczepaniak, of San Diego; Michelle Burbank, of Valparaiso, Indiana; and Katherine Meyer, of Long Beach, Indiana. The bride's attendants wore long, champaign gold, sequenced gowns.

Flower girl was Morgan Wirtschoreck, or Aurora, Illinois.

Ring bearer was Grayson Swenson, of Geneva, Illinois.

Best Man was Ryan Swenson, of Geneva, Illinois. Groomsmen were Brian Moehlenhof, of Peoria; Mark Wirtschoreck, of Aurora, Illinois; William Graff, of Dayton, Ohio; Terrence Schilling, of Burke, Virginia; and William Valentine, of Fairfax, Virginia.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Father Scott Haynes, S.J.C., Patrons of Sacred Music.

A reception was held at The Wolfe Point Ballroom at Merchandise Mart, in Chicago. Music for the reception was provided by O'Dea Entertainment, of Chicago.

The couple honeymooned in Europe, visiting Rome, Italy; Munich, Germany; and Paris, France.

The couple makes their home in Chicago.
