Dr. Clinton Todd Shireman and Megan Michelle Everhart
Megan Michelle Everhart and Dr. Clinton Todd Shireman, of La Porte, were married Sept. 17, 2016 at The Roan Farm, Shelbyville, Indiana, with Dr. Aaron Slater, friend of the couple, fraternity brother of the groom officiating.
The bride is the daughter of David Everhart, Shelbyville, Indiana and Kevin and Linda Schofner, Morristown, Indiana.
She is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She serves on the faculty of Brown-Mackie College, South Bend, as a course instructor in the Department of Veterinary Technology. She provides veterinary technology services for Shireman Veterinary Services, La Porte and Wanatah. She was given in marriage by her father, David Everhart.
The groom is the son of Todd and Rita Shireman, Wanatah.
He is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and a minor in Biological Sciences. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He earned his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he served a year-long internship at Elgin Veterinary Hospital, Elgin Texas. He is a veterinarian and the owner of Shireman Veterinary Services, La Porte and Wanatah. He is a partner in his family’s beef cattle operation.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Violinist Alyssa Welte, Lafayette, Indiana, friend of the couple.
Matron of Honor was Adair Everhart, Carlisle, Indiana, sister-in-law of the bride.
Maid of Honor was Stephanie Brandenburg, Delphi, Indiana, friend of the bride.
The remaining bridesmaids were: Mackenzie Shireman, Warsaw, Indiana, sister-in-law of the bride; Mallory Toombs, Columbus, Indiana, friend of the couple; Samantha Haygood, Shelbyville, and Brittany Carlton, Morristown, friends of the bride.
Flower girls were Sallie and Samantha Everhart, Carlisle, Indiana, nieces of the bride.
Best man was Nathan Shireman, Warsaw, Indiana, brother of the groom.
The remaining groomsmen were Adam Everhart, Carlisle, Indiana, brother of the bride; Dr. Phil Myer, Knoxville, Tennessee; Dr. Ryan Fairbairn, Rock Valley, Iowa; Jordan Vachon, Fort Wayne, Indiana; all friends of the groom; and Branden Rader, Delphi, Indiana, fraternity brother of the groom.
Ushers were Joshua Everhart, Morristown, Indiana, cousin of the bride and Bryceston Hoover, Hanna, Indiana, friend of the groom.
Junior groomsman was Cameron Lovejoy, McKinney, Texas, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held at The Roan Farm, Shelbyville, Indiana. Greeters were Kari Daffron, Indianapolis and Julie Bremer, Libertyville, Illinois; friends of the bride.
The couple make their home in La Porte. They first met while showing beef cattle at the Indiana State Fair, and later, when Megan served as Dr. Clint’s anesthesia instructor at the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine.
