Gregory M. Mansfield, age 71, of Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Miller’s Health and Rehab in La Porte, Indiana. He was born May 18, 1946, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Harry Vernon and Leona Marie (nee Crama) Mansfield who preceded him in death. Greg was married on Aug. 30, 1969, to Theresa Olaine Storey, who preceded him in death.
Greg is survived by his children, Todd (Nichole) Mansfield of Michigan City, Indiana, Jason (Lori) Mansfield of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chad (Stephanie) Mansfield of Knoxville, Tennessee, Neill (Brandon) Mansfield of Chicago, Illinois, and Bryan Mansfield of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Jacob, Kelsi, William, Yitzchak, Tuvia and Theresa and significant other, Gabriella Guzman; brothers, Jeff and Kevin Mansfield; aunt Rosie and uncle Warren Dankert; and several nieces and nephews. Greg was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Mansfield.
Greg was the co-founder of Great Lakes Museum of Military History. He served as Southern Great Lakes Chapter Treasurer for the M.V.P.A. (Military Vehicle Preservation Association). Greg served his country In the U.S. Navy serving aboard the U.S.S. Shangri-La CVA 38 from 1965 to 1967.

Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home located at 613 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, on Sunday, May 20, 2018, from noon to 3 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Geisen-Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Barnes of Faith City Assembly of God officiating. Military Honors will be presented.
Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to take place.
