TUESDAY

A 13-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy were arrested shortly after 1 p.m. near Calumet and Grand avenues for criminal mischief.

Jordan Christopher Godfrey, 21, homeless, was arrested at 1 p.m. at Franklin and Garfield streets on La Porte County warrants for theft, a Level 6 felony; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; and two counts of conversion, class A misdemeanors.

Theft was reported by a man who reported the loss of $355 between Saturday and Tuesday from an online scam involving the purchase of a vehicle.

Several items were stolen from the gift shop at Franciscan St. Anthony Health between 3:50 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. on July 31. Reported stolen were a DVD, two purses, three necklaces, three pairs of earrings and a cologne set with a total value of $273.

Attempted vehicle theft was reported by a resident in the 1300 block of Elston Street between 9:15 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday after the victim discovered damage to the vehicle's steering column, causing $200 in damage.

A resident in the 300 block of Karwick Road reported the theft of an in-dash radio and DVD player, valued at $275, from her vehicle between 11:30 p.m. Monday and 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.

A resident in the 900 block of Michigan Boulevard reported the tires of a vehicle were slashed between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday.

MONDAY

A 16-year-old boy from Valparaiso was arrested at Karwick Road and Tryon at 2:20 a.m. on a charge of curfew violation.

Winroe Antorian Taylor, 43, 111 Combs, was arrested at MCPD at 6:19 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant for never receiving a license, a class A misdemeanor.

James B. Steele, 41, 409 Vail St., was arrested at Michigan City Courthouse at 9:15 a.m. on a La Porte County failure to appear warrant for operating while intoxicated, a class D felony.

A woman reported that her vehicle was damaged in front of her residence in the 200 block of Barker Road between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 6:45 a.m.

A man from the 700 block of Hobart Street reported that two withdrawals and three purchases at Virk's Liquor Store, for a total of $671.37, were fraudulently charged to his bank account on Aug. 3.

A man from the 700 block of Hoyt street reported that his vehicle was stolen from in front of his residence between 1 and 10:45 a.m.

A worker at Walgreens on W. U.S. 20 reported receiving a forged prescription at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

A woman from the 200 block of Sanborn Street reported that a Verizon Wireless account was fraudulently opened in her name on Aug. 6 and she received a bill for $149.03 by Monday.

SUNDAY

Zen Thomas Poynter, 21, 1113 Salem St., was arrested on a city of La Porte warrant for violation of parole - resisting law enforcement at his residence at 11:20 a.m.

Lisa Hock, 52, 114 Green St., Apt. 3C, was arrested at her residence at 2:40 a.m. on a charge of false informing, a class B misdemeanor.

Jacob Kniola, 26, 201 E. 10th St., was ordered to appear in court for driving while suspended - prior, a class A misdemeanor, at Earl Road and Hitchcock at 11:20 p.m.

A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend kicked in the door of her residence, damaged the security camera and stole her $100 cell phone in the 3000 block of Springland Avenue between 3:15 and 4:40 a.m.

A woman reported that an Xbox One was stolen from her residence in the 200 block of Colombia Street between Wednesday and Friday.

A woman from the 500 block of Thurman Avenue reported that her purse was stolen from her residence at 9:56 p.m. on Saturday. The purse was recovered nearby but the $200 cell phone, the $50 cell phone and and the $300 pairs of glasses were still missing.

A man reported an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of Benton Street between 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and 6:40 a.m.

SATURDAY

Christopher J Redden, 19, 1126 Green St., and Henry Morris Scaggs, 19, 706 E. 11th St., were arrested at Walmart at 7:15 p.m. on a charge of theft, a class A misdemeanor. Scaggs was also arrested on a La Porte County warrant for criminal recklessness, a class B misdemeanor.

Mikkel Voneverett Harvell, 34, 912 Willow Spring Drive, was arrested in the 200 block of Dunes Plaza at 6 p.m. on a charge of parole violation.

Earnest Lamar Frazier, 37, Chicago, was arrested at Blue Chip Casino at 6:46 p.m. on three counts of cheating at gambling, a Level 6 felony, and three counts of theft, a Level 6 felony.

A woman from the 700 block of S. Dickson reported that she found a bullet on her vehicle in front of her residence. The bullet showed up between 3 p.m. on Friday and 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.

A woman reported that a purse, a wallet, a cell phone, $7 and a food stamp were stolen from her unlocked vehicle in her mother's driveway in the 500 block of Thurman at 9:56 p.m.

A construction worker reported that his coworker was battered by Franklin and Homer streets at 11:10 p.m. The assailant drove south on Franklin.

A woman from the 100 block of Ruby Court reported that her window was broken by a man out on bond at 2:35 p.m.

FRIDAY

William Alex Shaifer, 29, Gary, was arrested at Hobart and Vail streets at 6:15 p.m. on a charge of three counts of probation revocation - dealing cocaine, a class A felony.
