A woman reported she found a Coach wallet in her yard around 10:30 a.m.
Police responded to a battery call in the 300 block of N. Carroll Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. after a man reportedly slapped his female neighbor in a dispute over his dogs roaming at large.
A woman reported she was battered by a man inside a motel room at King’s Inn around 2:30 p.m.
An electronic flare, two anchors, a radar unit, four black Speedo life jackets and four sets of 25-foot blue boating rope reportedly were stolen from a boat docked at Heisman Harbor sometime between 8 a.m. on May 7 and 6:36 p.m. Wednesday. The boat’s cabin lock and GPS radar display unit also were damaged.
A woman reported her washer and dryer were stolen from her former residence in the 200 block of Decatur Street.
Eugene M. Turner, 47, of Michigan City was cited for driving while suspended prior and never receiving a license at 11:14 p.m. in the 1100 block of E. Michigan Boulevard.

Brandon Van Shon Goodwin, 29, of Michigan City was arrested at 7:09 p.m. at his residence in the 200 block of Pinetree Court on a La Porte County warrant for never having received a license.
